Abstract: Policymakers at the federal and state level are increasingly interested in and focused on data. In recent years, there has been a significant uptick in legislative and regulatory efforts in areas such as consumer privacy, data portability, artificial intelligence, and biometrics that could have wide-ranging implications for the auto industry and the future of mobility. We’ll examine the current data policy landscape and discuss the potential impacts on emerging automotive technologies.
